An antique Edwardian diamond ring found by C. Blackburn Jewelers.
"I brought in a couple of legacy rings with diamonds of different sizes. Carl showed me how he could repurpose the diamonds into a design that fit both what I was looking for and at a very reasonable budget. Those diamonds were combined with a new diamond, matching the existing cut, to create a beautiful engagement ring and wedding band that I (and more importantly) and my now fiancee loved. The process included CAD workup of the rings, a wax model, and then the finished product. Carl was awesome throughout and was a pleasure to work with!" - Andrew V.
Vintage & Antique Style Custom Rings
C. Blackburn Jewelers isn’t just a San Diego jewelry store where you can buy and sell estate jewelry. Owner Carl Blackburn is one of Southern California’s most prominent designers of custom engagement rings and bridal sets.
Carl is especially known for his designs inspired by the fine jewelry making periods of the past, such as the Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Deco eras. His master craftsman specialize in the Old World artistry of engraving, milgraining, and filigree, all conducted painstakingly by hand.
Carl Blackburn can also expertly take the antique cut diamonds and gemstones from estate jewelry you have inherited to create an entirely new ring, earrings, or pendant necklace — a piece that is either classically inspired, or one with a modern twist that perfectly balances the past and present.
If you have fallen in love with an antique ring or estate jewelry you’ve seen online, Carl can put his jewelry design skills to work duplicating that item, or adding new accents so that it is an original custom ring tailored to your wishes.
