You can visit C. Blackburn Jewelers in La Jolla not only to sell Tiffany jewelry and sell Cartier jewelry. We also buy estate jewelry from international fine jewelers who have greater name recognition abroad than they do here in the United States. For example, you may not be familiar with Deakin & Francis, a British jewelry company that specializes in cufflinks, luxury accessories, and bespoke jewelry (in particular, signet rings, bangles, and bracelets).

Our owner Carl Blackburn, a 2nd generation jeweler, loves the cufflinks and fine jewelry produced by Deakin & Francis, and is always on the lookout for unique, previously-owned Deakin & Francis items to purchase — such as a recently bought, highly collectable pair of 18K Deakin & Francis cufflinks in the shape of shotguns with hand-engraved scrollwork.

If you have used Deakin & Francis cufflinks (or other jewelry) to sell, give Carl a call at 858-251-3006 and give him an opportunity to make you a fair cash offer on your item(s).

Deakin & Francis has a long and storied history. The company was was founded in 1786 by Benjamin Woolfield, who established his jewelry business in Birmingham, England. Over time, the business passed down through the Woolfield family until it was purchased in 1822 by Charles Washington Shirley Deakin. Deakin’s sons, Charles and John, took over the business in the mid-19th century and expanded it to include a wider range of luxury items.

In 1872, John Deakin founded the Deakin & Francis company, which became known for its innovative designs and high-quality craftsmanship. The company quickly gained a reputation for producing some of the finest cufflinks in the world, and it soon became a favorite among the fashionable elite of the Victorian era (Read our post on Victorian cufflinks).

During the 20th century, Deakin & Francis continued to grow and expand its product lines, and the company became known for its unique and creative designs. In the 1950s and 1960s, Deakin & Francis began producing bespoke jewelry for a wide range of clients, including royalty, celebrities, and wealthy individuals.

Today, Deakin & Francis is still run by the Deakin family, and it remains one of the most respected and well-known jewelry brands in the world. The company’s headquarters are still located in Birmingham, and its products are sold in high-end retailers around the globe. In recent years, Deakin & Francis has expanded its product lines to include a wider range of luxury accessories, including pens, leather goods, and grooming products, while still maintaining its commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
